This happens when you “Add Media” and put an image into your text box and you also add a featured image using the “Featured Image” box. You do not need to do both. The standard image you see at the top of most articles is put there using the “Featured Image” box. If you add another image to the top of your text box, you are adding another image to the top of your article.
