Addressing some questions.

There is a relationship between headline, paragraph, keywords, and meta text. This information is not necessary to understand. The information will help an article do better in search engines.

1. Keywords

1. SEO–Search engine optimization. This one is not exactly a tutorial, but will serve for a while.

This means that the words you have in your article–particularly the words you have at the beginning of your headline and first paragraph, as well as meta information–match the words people type into a search box.

(This video will be replaced.)

Note: In the tutorial, “long-term” views are mentioned. This is true, but it can also apply strongly to short-term keyword search. For example, if a massive event has just taken place in Grozny, Russia, and your title begins “Grozny…” and your focus keyword etc are “Grozny,” because Grozny is a new/uncommon keyword, you have a good chance of ranking highly for a new term. I.e. the term is about to become popular, and you have a post with the keyword already there. Beginning this way can also establish your post in search for that keyword/phrase for a long time, especially if your article is enjoyed and shared over time (ie quality).

3. Social media

Twitter: @ was not mentioned. This is like #, except it makes your tweet appear to the @ user. For example. @UNMISS will show that Tweet to the UN Mission in South Sudan, who may be interested in the story. They may re-tweet it to their followers. They may link to your article from their website. They may begin to recognize you as involved in their subject, which will make it easier for you to get comments/interviews/information from them.
